Qatar Airways will link both cities four times a week with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with capacity for about 280 passengers

The Qatar Airways flight that will link Malaga with the capital of Qatar, Doha, will begin operations on May. It will do so with  four frequencies a week, that is, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, as confirmed by travel agencies that have already started booking tickets. Precisely, on the International Tourism Exchange of Berlin (ITB), the Qatar airline has presented its expansion plan with 16 new destinations for 2018 – 2019. The president of the Association of Travel Agencies of Andalusia (Aedav), Sergio García, confirmed that the first flight is almost complete, including its most exclusive class. “Well-known people who live in Qatar have told me that there is a great acceptance and that this summer the Costa will be filled with Arabs of high purchasing power. This type of connections are  always great news for the province, “Garcia said.

The flight will depart from Malaga at 9.15 am and arrive in Doha at 17.15. From the capital of Qatar will depart at dawn, at 1.20 hours, and arrive at the airport of the Coast after eight in the morning. In principle, it will operate until September 30.

Qatar Airways operates a fleet of more than 200 aircraft through its hub, Hamad International Airport (HIA). The president of Tourism Costa del Sol, Elías Bendodo, stressed the importance of this connection for the province.
